In their 2008 Grading the States report, the non-partisan Pew Research Center named Utah the Best Managed State in the Nation. Not only that, but Utah is recognized as a low corruption state; any claims to the contrary are only measuring the number of ethics rules in Utah government, not the actual behavior of lawmakers. Good government and ethical government go hand in hand.
Utahns should oppose the "Government Ethics Reform" initiative, and support the Utah state legislature's actions to update their processes to uphold the highest standard of ethical conduct.
